I don't expect this machine to hit the sales charts and then quickly slide into second place as most notebooks have done before it - but I can see a point where you could make $600-$700 on one of these machines at full price just by buying an upgrade if they are running out of stock in your region or store is closing up shop over Christmas. And while there aren`t many options right now for laptops that offer decent performance per dollar (or even good value), Acer will likely be picking through inventory anyway considering all of its recent launches with their gaming laptop offerings.
